HOW TO TAKE GARMENT MEASUREMENTS OF PANTS
Lay out a similar garment you own flat on the floor or on a table. Using a soft measuring tape, take the following measurements
LENGTH: Measure the side of one of the legs, from the top of the waistband until the end of the hem at the bottom of the garment.
WAIST: Measure the top of the waistband, from one side to another, following the curve of the waistband.
HIP: Measure 8 inches (20cm) down the side of one of the legs from the top of the waistband. This gives you the hip level.
Now measure across the width of the garment.
