The Jeddah Gown speaks volumes when it comes to the perfect fancy outfit for any occasion. Snag any of our four shades in rosewood, taupe, olive, and navy! The silky soft satin material is soft to the touch and feels luxurious. Made of polyester, the gown features a modest neckline and cinched sleeve hems that give a nice intricate design that is not too tight or fitting. The adjustable ribbon waistband allows for flexibility in the sizing and fit of the gown. Being in this gown, you will feel light on your feet. Fabric Weight: SHUKR has classified the different fabrics it uses into 4 different degrees of weight in order to help the customer make an informed purchasing choice:
1- Light weight - fabrics weighing between 75-150 grams per square metre (gsm). These fabrics are great for warmer weather and for layering all year round.
2- Medium weight - fabrics weighing between 150-225 grams per square metre (gsm). These are fabrics which work well all year round, but might be a bit too warm for very hot summer climates.
3- Heavy weight - fabrics weighing between 225-300 grams per square metre (gsm). These fabrics are best worn in Spring, Autumn and Winter.
4- Extra Heavy Weight – fabrics weighing over 300 grams per square metre (gsm). These are fabrics meant to be used for the Winter season.
Fabric Type: Some customers are interested in knowing what the fabric construction is. There are 2 basic types of fabrics, categorized according to the type of machine that makes it: woven and knitted. Woven fabrics come in 3 main sub-categories: plain weave, twill weave and satin weave. Knitted fabrics, like the popular jersey, are normally stretchy fabrics that are good for t-shirts and tops, sportswear and comfortable dresses. Apart from jersey, other common knitted fabrics are French terry, ponte de roma and rib.
